Young adults in EU can’t afford annual holidays

One in four people aged 25 to 34 are unable to afford an annual one-week holiday away from home, according to the latest Eurostat data from 2022, revealing a concerning reality for young adults in the European Union (EU).

The data exposes significant disparities among EU countries, with Romania (52.3%), Greece (46%), and Hungary (39.2%) topping the list of nations where a large proportion of young adults face financial constraints. In contrast, Finland (7.9%), Netherlands (7.4%), and Denmark (6.9%) fare better with significantly lower percentages.
